Eligibility Conditions (Crucial Date: 01 July 2025)
- Candidates must be regularly appointed Stenographer Grade “D” in the respective service.
- Required length of service varies by cadre (3 to 6 years of approved service).
- Stenographers on deputation with lien in Grade “D” are eligible.
- Computer literacy is mandatory.
Scheme of Examination
- Part A: Computer Based Examination (200 Marks)
- General Awareness – 100 Questions (100 Marks)
- English Language & Comprehension – 100 Questions (100 Marks)
- Duration: 2 Hours (2 Hours 40 Minutes for PwBD candidates)
- Negative Marking: 0.25 Marks per wrong answer
- Part B: Stenography Skill Test (200 Marks)
- Dictation: 10 Minutes @ 100 WPM
- English: 40 Minutes | Hindi: 55 Minutes
- Part C: Evaluation of Service Records (100 Marks)
Mode of Selection
- Based on combined performance in Part A, Part B, and Part C.
- Final merit list will be prepared cadre-wise.
- This is a competitive examination, not a qualifying exam
