Educational Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree level.
• Applicants should have an outstanding R&D track record in areas relevant to the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP).

Essential & Desirable Experience

• Holding an analogous post in Pay Level 16 OR
• Minimum 5 years of combined experience in Pay Levels 14 and 15.
• Experience in managing a large scientific community or heading a reputed scientific institution.
• Excellent publication record, leadership qualities, and national/international recognition.
• Experience in large-scale project implementation is essential.
• Desirable: Familiarity with government administrative and financial matters and managerial experience in a large research laboratory.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 50 Years
• Maximum Age: 57 Years
• Age will be calculated as on 31 January 2026.
