Educational Qualifications
- The applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent qualification to apply for the WB Police SI, Sergeant post.
- Able to speak, read, and write Bengali language.

Age Limit
- Candidates age limit should be Minimum 20 years and Maximum 27 years.
- The upper age limit shall be relaxed by 05 years for the candidates belonging to the categories of SC & ST by 03 years for the candidates belonging to the categories of OBC and by 03 years in the case of a Transgender person. The upper age limit is also relaxable upto 35 years for departmental candidates of Kolkata Police only having requisite qualifications. The upper age limit shall further be relaxed for the departmental candidates by 05 years in the case of SC and ST candidates and 03 (three) years in the case of OBC candidates.
