Through this recruitment drive, KMRL is inviting applications to fill 70 apprentice vacancies for a one-year training period across Graduate (Technical and Non-Technical), Diploma Technician, and ITI Trade categories. Kochi Metro Apprentice Vacancy Details 2026
The total 70 vacancies are divided across four main categories as follows:
- Graduate Apprentice (Technical): 16 Posts (UR: 6, OBC: 4, SC: 2, EWS: 2, ST: 1)
- Graduate Apprentice (Non-Technical): 06 Posts (UR: 2, OBC: 2, SC: 1, EWS: 1)

Kochi Metro Apprentice Educational Qualification 2026
Candidates must hold a full-time regular degree, diploma, or ITI certificate and must have passed their final exam within the last 5 years from the closing date of application:
- Graduate Apprentice (Technical): Full-time 4-year B.E. / B.Tech degree in Civil, Electrical / EEE, Electronics & Communication (ECE) / Instrumentation, Mechanical, or IT / Computer Science.
- Graduate Apprentice (Non-Technical): Full-time 3-year degree in BBA, B.Com, or BCA.
- Diploma Technician Apprentice: Full-time 3-year Diploma in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Computer Science.
- ITI Trade Apprentice: Full-time ITI pass certificate in Electrician, Electronics, Welder, Fitter, or Plumber trades.
Kochi Metro Apprentice Age Limit and Application Fee 2026
Applicants must have completed at least 18 years of age to be eligible for apprenticeship training. There is no application fee for any category candidate.
Kochi Metro Apprentice Monthly Stipend 2026
Selected apprentices will receive a fixed monthly stipend along with a food allowance:
- Graduate Apprentices (Tech & Non-Tech): ₹12,300/- per month
- Diploma Technician Apprentices: ₹10,900/- per month
- ITI Trade Apprentices: ₹9,600/- per month
- Extra Benefit: All apprentices will receive an additional ₹1,200/- per month as a Food / Messing allowance.
Kochi Metro Apprentice Selection Process 2026
There will be no written test or personal interview for this recruitment. Candidates will be shortlisted purely based on the percentage of marks obtained in their qualifying examination (ITI, Diploma, or Degree). Shortlisted candidates will be called for original document verification and a medical fitness check before joining.

- Step 1 (Portal Registration): ITI candidates must register online on the NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in), while Degree and Diploma holders must register on the NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in) and complete 100% of their profile.
- Step 2 (Download Form): Download and print the Apprentice Bio-Data Form attached to the official KMRL notification.
- Step 3 (Fill Details): Fill out the bio-data form in capital letters, enter your NAPS/NATS enrollment ID, and paste your recent passport-size photo.
- Step 4 (Attach Documents): Attach copies of your NAPS/NATS profile printout, educational certificates, mark sheets, age proof (10th certificate/Aadhaar/Passport), and caste/EWS certificate (if applicable).
- Step 5 (Submit Form): Send or submit the completed application form along with all documents to the address below on or before November 10, 2026:
