BPSC TRE 4.0 Educational Qualification and TET Requirements 2026
The academic qualifications and required eligibility tests differ according to the teaching level applied for:
- Primary School Teacher (Classes 1 to 5): 10+2 (Intermediate) with at least 50% marks plus a 2-year D.El.Ed or B.El.Ed, OR a Graduation degree with D.El.Ed. Candidates must have passed CTET Paper-I or Bihar BTET Paper-I.
- Middle School Teacher (Classes 6 to 8): Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject with a 2-year D.El.Ed, OR Graduation/Post Graduation with at least 50% marks along with a B.Ed degree. Candidates must have passed CTET Paper-II or Bihar BTET Paper-II.
- Secondary School Teacher / TGT (Classes 9 to 10): Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks and a B.Ed degree (or 4-year integrated BA.Ed/B.Sc.Ed). Passing Bihar STET Paper-I in the relevant subject is compulsory.
- Higher Secondary Teacher / PGT (Classes 11 to 12): Master’s Degree (PG) in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks along with a B.Ed degree (or B.Ed-M.Ed). Passing Bihar STET Paper-II in the specific subject is compulsory.
BPSC TRE 4.0 Age Limit 2026
The age limit will be calculated as on August 01, 2025:
- Minimum Age for Primary and Middle School (Classes 1 to 8): 18 Years
- Minimum Age for Secondary and Higher Secondary (Classes 9 to 12): 21 Years
- Maximum Age for General (Male): 37 Years
- Maximum Age for General (Female), BC, and EBC: 40 Years
- Maximum Age for SC and ST Candidates: 42 Years
- Age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories as per Bihar state government rules.
BPSC TRE 4.0 Application Fee 2026
The application fee is ₹100/- for all candidate categories. Extra biometric verification fees will be charged if applicable. Candidates can pay the application fee online using UPI, Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card before the fee deadline on October 25, 2026.
