Educational Qualifications
- Post Graduate Teacher (Arts/Science): Post Graduation in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks AND B.Ed from an NCTE recognised institution.
- Graduate Teacher (Arts/Science/Mathematics/Hindi/English): Graduate (with specified major/subject) with minimum 55% marks in the major subject AND B.Ed from an NCTE recognised institution (as applicable).
- Assistant Teacher (Arts/Science): Graduate with minimum 55% marks AND Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from an NCTE recognised institution.
- Laboratory Assistant: Higher Secondary (Science stream) with minimum 55% marks from a recognised Board.
- Degrees/diplomas from off-campus centres not recognised by DEC/UGC will not be considered (exceptions: valid qualifications from KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University and Dibrugarh University distance education, as specified in notification).
- As AVS schools are CBSE affiliated English-medium schools, candidates must be efficient to teach in English. Apart from the major subject, candidates should be proficient to teach additional subjects and language requirements where specified (Bodo/Bengali/Assamese as applicable).
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 Years.
- Maximum Age: 45 Years.
- Age relaxations (if any) shall be as per rules and as mentioned in the official notification.

Selection Process
- Shortlisting shall be done on the basis of merit as per the Teaching Proficiency Test (TPT) criteria specified in the notification (marks weightage from academic records, HS, Graduation, Post-Graduation, D.El.Ed/B.Ed etc. as applicable).
- Teaching Proficiency Test (TPT) / Short Test will assess subject mastery, teaching methodology, class demonstration, writing skill, general knowledge, overall presentation, and co-curricular experience.
- Adequate number of candidates will be called for TPT and document verification. Final selection is based on merit and verification of original documents.
- Any candidate found to have submitted false/forged information/documents will be disqualified and may face legal action.
