APPSC Post-wise Educational Qualification 2026
The academic criteria depend on the specific post applied for:
- Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector (AMVI): Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering, OR a Diploma in Automobile Engineering. Candidates must have a valid driving license with a Heavy Transport vehicle endorsement.
- Assistant Director (Mines): Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized university or a Diploma in Mining Engineering from ISM Dhanbad.
- Assistant Chemical Examiner: Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc.) with Chemistry or B.Sc. in Pharmacy.
- Royalty Inspector & Technical Assistant: B.Sc. Degree in Geology from a recognized university. Practical field experience will be given preference for Technical Assistant.
- Lab Assistant: B.Sc. Degree with Chemistry as a subject.
APPSC Age Limit 2026
The age limit will be calculated as on July 01, 2026:
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 44 Years
- Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for SC, ST, BC, EWS, and other reserved categories as per Andhra Pradesh state government rules.
APPSC Selection Process and Exam Pattern 2026
The selection will be done through a written objective examination followed by a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT):
- Paper I (Common for All Posts): General Studies & Mental Ability (150 Questions, 150 Marks, 150 Minutes).
- Paper II (Subject Specific): Questions related to Automobile Engineering, Mining, Geology, Chemistry, or Pharmacy depending on the post applied for (150 Questions, 150 to 300 Marks).
- Candidates who clear the written test will be called for document verification and the Computer Proficiency Test before final merit ranking.
