Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree: All applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university or equivalent from a recognized Board/ University/ Institution.
    Candidates Appearing in Bachelor’s Degree Examination: Applicants who appeared in their Bachelor’s Degree Examination or equivalent, but possess the required qualification on or before the cut-off date, which is 15 August 2023, will be eligible to apply.
  • Additional requirement for Sub Inspector post in Delhi Police for Male candidates: Male candidates applying for the position of Sub Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police must have a valid driving license for LMV (Motorcycle & Car) on the scheduled date for Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT) to be eligible to apply. Male candidates without valid driving licenses for LMV (Motorcycle & Car) will only be able to apply online for the post of Sub-Inspector in CAPFs.

Age Limit

  • Candidates’ age limit for SSC CPO 2023 should be between 20 to 25 years as on 01 August 2023. Therefore, candidates born before 2 August 1998 and after 1 August 2003 cannot apply for these posts.

How To Apply

  • Step-1: The applicant has to first visit the SSC CPO official website of
  • Step-2: Read the detailed instructions at Annexure-I and Annexure-II of the notice.
  • Step-3: Download the specimen proforma of One Time Registration and Online Application Form (Annexure-IA & Annexure-IIA) for reference.
  • Step-4: Applicant has to fill out the Delhi Police SI online application form
    with accurate details.
  • Step-5: A scanned color passport-size photograph in JPEG/JPG format (20 kb to 50 kb) with dimensions of approximately 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height) is to be uploaded. The photograph should be without a cap and glasses and should not be older than three months from the date of publication of the examination notice.
  • Step-6: Ensure that the uploaded photograph follows the prescribed format (as per Para 8.2).
  • Step-7: One should carefully review the filled application form using the preview/print option to ensure that all details are correct.
  • Step- 8: Apply online should be before the closing date (15 August 2023 23:00 Hrs) to avoid any last-minute problem or heavy website traffic.
  • Step- 9: Candidates should SSC CPO SI apply before the last date to avoid difficulty.
  • Step- 10: After successful submission, a printout of the application form must be taken for future reference.

  • Paper – I
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: This section will include both verbal and non-verbal type questions. Topics may include analogy, similarities, and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision-making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, figurative classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning, etc.
  • General Knowledge and General Awareness: It will test the general awareness about the environment and its application in society. The questions highlight knowledge of current events and scientific aspects of everyday observations. The subjects include History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scenario, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research etc.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: The questions in this section are designed to test the candidate’s ability to use numbers and number sense. The scope of the test covers the calculation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers.
    Other topics included percentage, ratio and proportion, square root, average, interest, profit and loss, discount, partnership business, mixture and allocation, time and distance, time and work, basic algebraic identities of school algebra, elementary solutions, graphs of linear equations, triangle and its different types of centers, congruence and similarity of triangles, circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents of two or more circles, etc. have gone.
