On 23 March 1991, Khagaria Judgeship was separated from Munger Judgeship and it was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Justice Sri Suresh Chandra Mukherjee on 23 March 1991 and the Ist. District & Sessions Judge of Khagaria Judgeship was Sri Baidyanath Singh.
On 9 September 2000, the Permanent Lok Adalat, Khagaria was started in the Khagaria Judgeship. In the year 2002, the Court of Additional District & Sessions Judge, Fast Track Court, Khagaria started functioning. On 16 October 2012, the Family Court was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Justice Sri S. M. Mahfooz Alam of the Hon’ble Patna High Court.
