The legislative basis was laid with the Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University Act, 2005, resulting in the formation of the university on 30 March 2005. The university was inaugurated on 15 July 2005 by Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and since then it has continued the legacy of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences. Under its auspices, the first Acharya N.G. Was part of it. Ranga Agricultural University.
